Peter Benei is a former CMO and COO for US and UK B2B scaleups and the founder of AI-Ready Media, a media company covering AI innovation in marketing, advertising, and entrepreneurship. A former mentor at Techstars, a member of the Forbes Technology Council, and a regular guest on podcasts and at events, he now helps European founders scale their brands globally. He lives in Turin, Italy, and alongside his business projects he writes about Italy's 1,000 hidden towns at Anywhere Italy, a travel and expat publication.

Long bio

Peter Benei is a former CMO and COO for US and UK B2B technology scaleups, the founder of AI-Ready Media, and the author of Autonomous Leadership.

He started in advertising in Budapest and then London, working on global brands including BT, Adobe, Denon, Vodafone, McDonald's, and T-Mobile. In 2014 he moved to the startup side and spent a decade leading marketing and operations for US and UK B2B tech companies from seed to Series A, through fundraising rounds and exits. Until 2025 he led the AI practice at Intercept Group, a B2B marketing agency in Canada.

Today he runs AI-Ready Media, a company covering AI innovation in marketing, advertising, and entrepreneurship. It publishes three newsletters: AI-Ready CMO, a daily briefing on AI and marketing for marketing leaders; AI-Ready Ads, a daily on AI-powered advertising; and AI-Ready Europe, a weekly on AI built in Europe, the founders, the money, and the rules behind them.

He is the author of Autonomous Leadership (2026), fifty theses on leading teams where AI does the execution and the leader designs the system, and of the earlier Leadership Anywhere, on asynchronous leadership. He is a former mentor at Techstars, a member of the Forbes Technology Council, where he writes on AI, business, and marketing, and a regular guest on podcasts and at events.

He now helps European founders scale their brands globally: mentoring early stage founders in the B2B tech space, and consulting for a small number of selected clients on growth, marketing operations, and startup scaling.

Born in Hungary, Peter has lived in Italy since 2022 and is based in Turin. Alongside his business projects he writes about Italy's 1,000 hidden towns at Anywhere Italy, a travel and expat publication, with a companion site covering every one of them.
